14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

Why is it so important the friends one chooses, the fellowships one keeps? So many think it does not matter who their friends are but notice what the Bible tells us here in Proverbs. Those who are not true Christians, those who are not born again believers in Christ, those ones have one goal set before them and that is to get the Christian to fall. (Verse 16) I know your unsaved friends are not like, your unsaved classmates, co-workers, family members, I know they are not like that. But they are because the Bible says they are. Even as a Pastor I can’t tell you how many times those who are unsaved and call me their friends, and even those whom I believe are saved but are not following after Lord try and get me to fall. I have been given movies to watch that seemed good at the beginning and then the language turns foul and the scenes become unwatchable and they have been given to me or recommended by professing Christians. I have been given invitations to places people know I will not go. Some try and provoke from time to time just seeing if they can get an ungodly response. The lost and even unspiritual Christians have a common goal, to get one to fall. Watch your testimony and one way to do that is watch who you fellowship with.
