Certainly as both Roman and Jewish authority, one religious and the other secular, placed Jesus Christ in the tomb they thought that was the end of Him. The Jewish religious leaders even asked a guard to be placed at the tomb and Rome placed it there. Jesus Christ was dead and gone and was no longer a threat to them. But was that true? Of course not for there was no power in earth that could keep Jesus in that grave, He would arise proving that He had and has power over sin and the grave. Don’t allow anyone tell you that there is no power in the Son of God today, no power in His Word, no power in His church for the same power in Christ is in His children today through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Can we be revived? Just as sure as Jesus came out of that tomb. But we do need to pay the price of revival. We do need to pray and we do need to act. Yet even in our little church there are those who are indifferent to the meetings we have coming up. There are those who are planning not to be there instead of making a commitment to them. There are those who see themselves as good and right in the eyes of God and see no need for revival. All the while it are those same ones in churches across America who say that there will never be revival again. Remember my fried our Savior is the Lord of the living if we allow Him to be.
