December 9th, 2015 by Pastor SolleyIsa 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
KJV
Another thing that hinders revival is the pride of man. Why is it that people, Christians, refuse to acknowledge the need for revival? Most Christians if asked to do so can point out others who need revival, point out others who are not what they should be for the Lord, can point out others who are being swallowed up by the world, but those very same ones cannot see the needs in their own lives. Few are the people who will humble themselves before God with a broken heart and spirit and cry out for God to revive them. Most who claim the name of Christ today fall into the description of the church at Ladodicea in Revelation 3. (Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.) Most do not see the need in their own lives. I wonder today if we would really humble ourselves, set our pride aside, and seek God in revival if revival would fall upon us at it did on the people of God in the past. Don’t let your pride hinder revival today.
