Gal 4:4-5 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
KJV
As a Christian and a pastor I find very little good in the way the world celebrates Christmas. There is nothing Christ like about Santa, parties where the alcohol flows and the like, nothing Christ like about a tree and the most decorated homes are those of the lost. But I did say very little, not nothing, there is something I like. At least during the Christmas season as it is called the world does acknowledge Christ, does acknowledge that Jesus Christ came into this world at an appointed time. They do not understand the meaning and importance of that but it does give the true Christian a special opportunity to witness to the lost. With every “Merry Christmas” we receive we can ask someone if they know why it truly is merry, if they know the good news of the gospel message. With every Christmas card sent out a gospel tract can be included. The lost world does acknowledge Jesus Christ at this time of year and we can take advantage of that in witnessing for Him.
