Col 4:5-6
5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
KJV
Did we lose an hour or gain an hour? Spring forward, fall back, so we must have lost an hour. Every spring and fall we change the clocks but there are still 24 hours in a day so we didn’t lose or gain anything. The Bible has a few things to say about the time, the most important being that time must be redeemed. (Verse 5) Time is the one thing that when wasted can never be regained. This summer we were going to spend a lot of evenings outside around a fire just relaxing. I wonder where the summer went as there were not many nights of sitting around a fire. Too busy with this or with that and the time went by. That is the way it is with time, once it is gone it never comes back. What are you doing with your time, do you use it wisely, do you count time as precious? We need to make wise use of our time as some of it needs to be given to work, to family, to self, and to the Lord each day. Yet I know how easy it is to waste time. I see many spending time on their cell phones doing nothing, spending time in front of the PC doing nothing, watching TV doing nothing, just wasting their time. After I post this I will do something with time. Will it be time in the Bible, time in prayer, or just time wasted doing nothing? What do we do with our time?
