Was there ever a time when Halloween was harmless? I think not. But I also remember a time when there was no harm seen in Halloween. Dress the youngsters up like a cowboy or a princess, they would go get some candy, that would be the end of it. Teens would throw some corn, soap a few windows, that would be the end of it. Today things have changed, houses decorated more for Halloween than for Christmas, haunted houses, parties, horror movies on TV, Halloween has become so very big. For many it is open worship of Satan and that brings us back to our verses for today. What few looked on as having any danger at all has now grown into an open Satanic holiday. Yes it always was, but it seemed so harmless at one time just as many of the things that have overtaken society at one time seemed harmless. Remember that when we allow one seemingly harmless sin to enter into our lives, remember what Satan will turn it into.
