October 21st, 2015 by Pastor SolleyPs 84:8-12 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Another blessed verse in the book of Psalms is Psalm 84:11. At times I am troubled about something I will think of this passage and this verse. (Ps 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.) If this be true, and I know that it is, then all that the Lord sends my way or allows to come my way will be only good, He will withhold not one good thing from me. There are things I pray for that I do not receive, things I would never ask for but they come my way, such is life. But at times like those the Christian needs to remember who stands before us, who goes before us, who makes every path straight. Our part is to continue to walk uprightly and trust Him.
