Daily Devotions

Isa 41:1 Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.

Another thing we can keep is silent before God. There is s much noise today that most people don’t know what silence is. We have to have the TV on, the radio on in the car, the cd playing, the device in our ears, the phone on, noise all the time everywhere. Is it any wonder then that Christians have a hard time hearing the voice of God? Many people cannot even sleep without some sort of noise in the background. No wonder God seems so distant. Remember that it was the still small voice of God that Elijah heard. Take time today to turn everything else off, open your Bible, and let God speak to you.
