13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
Under construction are words no traveler wants to see, but those words “End work zone” are welcome ones. The work is over, now we can see what was done. Our lives in this world are a construction site, work in progress. Like workers along the road we can be seen, some working hard, others hardly working, but we are seen. One day the work will be over and the project finished. I have often looked at construction crews and wondered what they are doing and then when they are done it is still a wonder to me. Yet the world we do spiritually will be revealed one day, the Divine inspector will stand over it and declare what sort of work it was. Then it will be seen by all the work we did. For some they will watch as the project burns up, it was made of worldly things, it was something that would not hold up to judgment and inspection. Others will see their work stand up and endure the Divine test and they will receive a reward. What is the work you are doing, will it hold up when you reach the finished line?
