August 10th, 2015 by Pastor SolleyHeb 13:11-13 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
This is the only passage in the New Testament where the word camp appears and it is a fitting one for the final report on our 2015 week of camp. Jesus Christ is the one we wanted to set before the campers, not our church or the facilities, not the staff, not the evangelist, Jesus Christ. By the grace and power of God, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and the preaching of the Word of God I believe that was accomplished. Young people were saved, they called on Jesus Christ for the free pardon of sin and that was and continues to be the greatest blessing. Many others made decisions to follow Christ, to walk with Him, and to serve Him day by day and that is a blessing as well. New friends in the Lord were made and old friendships were sweetly rekindled. God protected us and provided for us and that in answer to many prayers. We will hold our 2016 camp beginning August 6th. Thank you for your prayers over the past week.
