July 17th, 2015 by Pastor SolleyJames 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
This is not a question asked by James, but a question asked by God, “What is your life?” Life in this world is for a short time, be it five years, fifty, or even one hundred years, life is short in view of eternity. Most people act as if they think they will live forever, act as if there will never come a time when they must give account to the God that created them. But life is short, just a brief time we have in this world and that time needs to be used wisely. Time to repent and come to the Christ who died for all so that all can be saved, but we need to turn to Him. Time then to serve Him and live for Him in this world. Most think this takes away from life, but it adds both to life now and in eternity as well. Time to pray, time to read His Word, time to give to Him and then to receive the blessing of God. Yes, life is short, but we do have time. What are you doing with the time God has given you?
