July 10th, 2015 by Pastor SolleyProv 30:11-17 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:
16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.
17 The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
The passage ends as it began, with father and mother being mocked by the children. What is the solution to the problem, is there hope for America in these last days? There is my7 friend and that to be found as Christians, true born again believers in Christ bow before the God of heaven in prayer. We need prayer, not to the god of humanism, or the gods of the false religions of the world, but to the God of heaven, the God made mention of in the Declaration of Independence, the God of our Constitution, the God upon which this nation was founded, the Lord Jesus Christ. Why are we ashamed of Him today, why do we want to take every mention of His name out of society, why do we want to be a nation rid of the God who created us, who formed us, and who died on the cross to save us? Unless and until we turn once again to the true God our nation will continue to follow the ways of Proverbs 30. If you can read these verses and tell me this is not America today then we need nothing, we are fine. But if this is America today, then we need prayer. PRAY!
