July 1st, 2015 by Pastor SolleyIsa 6:1-5 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
Before Isaiah could be a prophet to the nation, before Isaiah could be a help to the nation, he had to see and deal with his own sin, with sin in his life, Isaiah needed to be cleansed. Today we as Christian bemoan the sins of this nation, the sins of America, and they are many. A nation that murders the innocent in the womb, that has set out to destroy the family and to turn it against what God established in Genesis is a nation headed for destruction. Yet I wonder how many of us look within before we look at the sins of those around us? I wonder if we were what God wanted us to be, if I would be what God wants me to be, if we would see ourselves in light of a Holy God and His holy Word, and let His Spirit cleanse and change us, what difference that would make in America? Before one can make a difference for God one needs to be right before God. Again Christian, let us look within before we look without for changes in America must come from within, there needs to be a change of heart.
