June 29th, 2015 by Pastor Solley2 Chron 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
That the United States of America is sick and in need of a healing is not the question of our day for the born again believer in Christ. The question is, what can we do about it? Is it too late for America? The decision by the Supreme Court late last week suggests to many that it is indeed too late for this nation. A nation that continues to mock and deny the God upon whom this nation was founded will not prosper, must be judged and will fall. But God gives us who are Christians the answer in His Word. We need to humble ourselves, turn from our own sin, seek His face and pray. I wonder what type of revival would take place in America if just a few would follow the command given to us in 2 Chron 7:14? Yes many pray for the nation and our leaders, many seek the face of God, but there is a part of this verse that many pass over as well. We need to turn from our sin, we need to be right with God before God can work in the way He promised above. No person reading this is sanctified perfect and set apart from all sin, there are things we need to settle with God and when they are settled then God can work in the manner in which He desires. For the next few days we will look at some of the people of God who settled things in their own lives and then saw God work in the nation. Christian, let us ready ourselves for the mighty work of praying for our nation.
