June 23rd, 2015 by Pastor SolleyMatt 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Listening to the thunder is the distance as more storms are coming through our area today. According to the news there will be light rains, followed by heavy rains with lighting, and then lighter rains as the evening draws to a close. It reminds me of the storms of life that come as the years go by. No one is exempt, they come upon the evil and the good. Some are not so hard to endure, some quite hard, some pass quickly and some linger like they will never end. One thing we need to keep in mind, our God is still in control no matter the severity of the storm. I may sit on the front porch while I pray this morning and enjoy the rain, listen to the thunder, but if things get to the point I don not like the storm so much I will just go inside. We need to remember that in the storms of life we do have a shelter, a shelter in the time of storm.
