Gen 18:10-14 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Another question asked by God of men in the Bible, this one directed to Sarah in Genesis 18. God had just confirmed the covenant He had made with Abraham in Genesis chapter 12 and with the promise comes a miracle, Sarah would have a child after, long after the time of bearing children was over for her. When she heard the news again she laughed, not a laugh of joy, but one of doubt. It would be like this preacher telling someone he was going to run a marathon at the end of the week, it would produce a laugh of doubt. God waited all those years after the initial promise to give Abraham and Sarah a son for a reason, so all would know it was of God and men. We should never be taken back, should never laugh in doubt at the power of God as Sarah did for she would soon learn that with God nothing is impossible. I think Christians are at times guilty of the same thing Sarah was, doubting God, doubting His power, doubting His love, doubting what God can do. I often wonder how much peace we rob ourselves from, how much joy, simply because we will not believe God.
