Job 19:23-26 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

How much comfort, how much strength does the child of God find in verse 25 of our text this morning? That depends in large part on your walk with the Lord, upon where your heart is fixed. Job went through many hard trials in a very short time and found none in this world to be a help to him. His wife was crushed by sorrow, his friends tried to fix blame upon Job, he was a man without help in this world. But not a man without hope. Job knew that in the later day he would stand with his Lord, in the latter day he would stand with God and with all those who went before him that placed their faith and trust in the Lord as well. God gave Job knowledge of the resurrection and that gave him hope, real hope in this world. We have that same knowledge through the pages of the Word of God, knowledge that our redeemer lives and is coming again. A heart fixed upon this truth is one that is strong and encouraged in the Lord. Jesus is coming again.
