Isa 55:8-11
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

I love to sit and listen to the rain coming down as it is here in PA this morning. Every time I do I think of these verses and of how my God is over all and in control of everything all the time. His thoughts are not our thoughts, His ways are not our ways, His ways are higher than ours, praise God. There is a great deal of sadness in this life, there are times when the tears roll down our faces just like the rain falls from heaven. But even in those times our God does all things well, our God is still over all. It may be that the times of trial in our lives are there to help us bear fruit for Him just as the rain brings forth the bud and causes the seed in the ground to grow. Listen to the rain as it comes down and know that God is over all and remember that as we go through the trials of this life, our God is over all.
