Daily Devotions

Prov 25:13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Prov 31:21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

My mind seems to be on snow this morning. I wonder if it is because a heavy snow is falling on this first day of spring here in central Pa? This seems to be an endless winter. Yet there is a beauty in the snow that reminds me of the things of God, reminds me of the faithfulness of God. There is no need to fear in the time of snow, in the cold of winter, for our God is faithful, our God is refreshing. The above two verses of Scripture seem to be connected only by the word “Snow”. But they are also connected by the faithfulness of God. As I look out my window this morning and watch the snow fall I am reminded of the faithfulness of God and how refreshing that it.
