February 11th, 2015 by Pastor SolleyEccl 12:1-2 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:
What might it save one to remember the creator in the days of our youth? Io be introduced to Jesus at a young age, to come to repentance at a young age, to be saved at a young age saves one from a multitude of things. It can save one from a life given to sin, to the ways of the world, to alcohol, drugs, fornication and much, much more. To know Chris and have the Spirit of God within leads one away from those things when one is given to the Lord. But it can also save one from a wasted life. Not talking about the lost here but the redeemed as well. Many people lead good moral lives, but what will they have to show for that life as they stand before God in judgment? If, as I believe, the most important things in life are to know God and serve Him, wouldn’t it be better to start at a young age? How many time do we look back and wonder what might have been, how many times do we look back with regrets? Yet one can never look at a life lived for Christ, a life lived in service for the Lord, and call it a wasted life. Much better if we start serving the Lord at a young age. That is why it is so important for parents to bring their children to the Lord. Not just to see them saved but to give them opportunity to make their life matter with God.
