Matt 8:1-4 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

Jesus saves! Yesterday we saw Jesus minister to the hated, today to the hopeless. A man who was a leper was a man without hope. There was no cure for the disease, it was going to eat away at his flesh from the time he contracted it until the day he died. He was a cast out, no person could or wanted to be around him, he had to identify himself as unclean to all that came into his path. The life of the leper was a hopeless one, that is until; he met Jesus. Jesus was and it able to take care of, to save the hopeless, to save the one who is without hope in this world. How many do we know who are considered hopeless? People so deep in sin, so lost if you would, that we would say they are hopeless. Yet none are beyond the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ. The hated man can be changes and the hopeless as well. When this man saw Jesus he saw hope and Jesus cleansed him, Jesus gave him a changed life, a life that all could see. Jesus still give hope and new life to the hopeless, still gives new life to all who fall down before Him. This man confessed he was a leper and that he needed the touch of Jesus and as a result he was healed. The same things takes place today when a lost sinner falls down before Jesus, acknowledges the need, repents and is saved. A new life is given to the hopeless and a life that all can see.
