November 26th, 2014 by Pastor SolleyLev 7:12 If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.
Rev 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
The first occurrence of the word thanksgiving in the Bible is in Lev 7:12, the last in Rev 7:12. God wants a thankful people, and we should be thankful today. This is a different Thanksgiving for me and my family this year with the trials of the past few months. But do we have anything to be thankful for? We have just as much nor or more than we ever had to be thankful for. Thankful for the Bible and the truth of God’s Word, thankful for Jesus and His offer of salvation so full and free, thankful for the blood of Christ, thankful for the surety of heaven, on and on I can go this morning. From the beginning of the Bible until the end God lets us know we need to be thankful, and from the beginning of our lives until the end we have much to be thankful for.
