August 6th, 2014 by Pastor Solley2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
A young man from our church was saved last night at camp, praise God! The last Sunday in June I had the privilege of baptizing his sister, now he has trusted Christ as his savior as well. For no other reason our week of cam is worth the work that it takes to hold it every year, because Jesus still saves all who are willing to repent and receive His free gift of salvation. How thankful we are, how thankful I am that God is not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance. Please pray that more will trust Christ before this week ends. This will be a busy day at camp as a dear lady from our church went home to be with the Lord on Friday last and I have the funeral today from the church. How thankful I am as well that capable young men we take over the operation of the camp throughout the afternoon. The next generation has stepped up and they are working in the camp now, taking care of things. This camp is one of the better ones, this is our 19th year of doing this, and there is a sweet, sweet spirit. Continue to pray for us today.
