There are a lot of faces that people are afraid of today. There is the face of illness, of old age, of loneliness, of finances and so on. There are a lot of things people are called to deal with or will be one day that causes them fear. In our text Jeremiah is being sent to Israel, sent to a people in sin to condemn that sin , sent to a people who will not receive the message as well as to a people who will persecute him and try to kill him. God’s solution to all those thoughts and fears in Jeremiah was to “Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee”. How we need to remember those words in our lives today. It matters not what we face or what we fear, when we have Christ within He is ever with us, ever goes before us. I do not know what you may be afraid of this day, what I do know is that Christ is with you if you are a part of the redeemed. Trust Him today, let Him take the fear away.
