Daily Devotions

Ps 119:9-11 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

It is said that sin will keep a person from the Bible, and the Bible will keep a person from sin. One reason to be given to the Word of God, reading it daily, obeying the Bible daily, walking in the truth and commandments of the Word of God, is to be kept from sin. Sin is packaged many ways today by Satan and it always looks good, always glitters, but one never sees the outcome of sin as they look at it. Lives destroyed by drugs and alcohol, families destroyed by infidelity, children unloved and unwanted, prisons full, health lost, people never see the outcome of sin. How can this be avoided in lives, in homes, in families? By men and women being given to the Word of God, by people, Christians, hiding His Word in our hearts. When an individual stands against sin, speaks out against sin today they are often looked at as being unkind, unloving, and legalistic. But stop and look at their lives, take a close look and see what is missing that most of the world apart from Jesus Christ and apart from the Bible has. They often miss the self induced pain and heartache that comes with a life lived in sin. We need to be given to the Word of God for that will keep us from sin.
