Perhaps today you put on shoes made of iron and brass, uncomfortable shoes, shoes that are hard to walk in. Life is not always comfortable, there are times when it is difficult to walk. Take note of the promise that comes with this truth, “As thy days, so shall thy strength be”. We will not be let alone in the trials of life, our Lord will provide strength for the day. There are so many promises in the Bible that provide strength for the day. The promise of His ever abiding presence. (Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.) The promise of His knowledge of our every need. (Matt 6:8
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.) The promise of answered prayer. (Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.) The promise of a way of escape. (1 Cor 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.) Today may be a day when you put on iron shoes, but we don’t walk in them alone, there is strength for today just for you in Jesus Christ.
