Daily Devotions
March 10th, 2014 by Pastor SolleyJer 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
How many people really trust the Lord? The best way to answer that question is to ask yourself this one; do I really trust the Lord? Most Christians if they are honest would have to admit that they do not trust the Lord as they should. Do not trust the Lord with day to day events, do not trust the Lord with their future, with their health, with their finances, with their families, do not really trust the Lord. If we did we would not complain about things nearly as often as we do. That tree planted by the waters is not easily moved, the roots go deep and wide. That tree is satisfied, is fed, is kept strong by the stream or spring that nourishes it and keeps it. So it is to be with the believer and Christ. When that is not the case in our lives we need to stop and ask; do we really trust Him or not?
PS.
It may be that I am away from my desk the next few days. If so devotions will start again on Monday.
