Rom 14:11-12 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
1 Cor 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Another thing for which we will give account in heaven is our faithfulness. One thing lacking in the believer today is faithfulness. People are seldom faithful in anything spiritual. We can never miss our favorite show on the TV, never miss a sporting event, never miss a meal, but when it comes to spiritual things we are at times lacking in a great way. No faithfulness to the house of God, people miss church for any reason. People change churches at times like they change their shirt. There is a definite lack of faithfulness to the house of God. When that is the case there is often a lack of faithfulness to His Word, a lack of faithfulness to prayer that had led to that. God wants us to be faithful to that which He has established. There may be a lot lacking in churches today but that is because there is a lot lacking in people today. The local church was established by Jesus Himself and will continue until He comes again. A lack of faithfulness is sin. Ever wonder why dogs are called man’s best friend? Because they are faithful all the time, faithful to their master, always there, always faithful. Couldn’t we be that for our Lord?
