Rom 8:23-26 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Hope is a common word in the Bible being found well over one hundred times. Where is your hope today? Who or what holds your hope? I stand in line at stores and have to wait for people who are purchasing lottery tickets as they hope to hit it big. People hope they never get sick, that tragedy never strikes their lives. That is as likely as winning the lottery. People hope the future will be bright, that government will take care of them, for impossible things. Who or what holds your hope today? We can have a hope that is secure, a hope that is real, a hope that will be realized, when we place our hope in Jesus Christ. I have never seen Jesus, never been to heaven, never knowingly talked to an angel, but one day I will see Him, one day will walk in heaven, one day will talk to angels. It is not a dream, not a hope that is weak, but a hope that is sure because of Christ. Jesus died for all so that all can be saved, so that all can place hope in Him. So many today follow a false and weak hope. What will all the money from the lottery do for a person? It will not secure eternity, one day it will run out. But not Jesus, He is a real hope for all who call upon Him today.
