1 Cor 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Heb 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

There are times, many times when one may think their work for the Lord may be unnoticed or unappreciated but it never is. A few years ago there was a funeral held at our church for a person who had never attended, had moved out of the area many years before. I had the privilege of visiting them in a hospital and then was asked to conduct the funeral, which we held at the church. After the funeral we hosted a meal for that family with food provided and prepared by our church members. On Friday of this past week I was attending another funeral and someone approached my wife and myself who was a family member from the funeral a few years ago. They commented that the congregation of our church was the most loving, friendly, caring and welcoming group of people they had ever met, they thanked us again and again for what the church did for her family. There are times when it may seem people do not notice, when work for the Lord is in vain or unappreciated, but it is not. If people here notice what we do and it touches them, if it helps bring them to Christ and salvation, isn’t any work worth it? I am sure it is also noted in heaven. The Bible says we are to be abounding in the work of the Lord. It is noticed here and it is noticed in heaven as well.
