What comfort and assurance comes from a single verse in the Bible. What strength we find in the fact that underneath the believer in Christ are arms, everlasting arms, that hold us up in every trial and circumstance of life. Why is that so few Christians feel this way? Because so few Christians will read their Bible, will pray and go to our Lord in times of trouble. Most today are turning to others instead of turning to the Lord, instead of walking with the Lord. To doctors and psychologist, to friends, to pills, to all and anyone except the Lord. If you want the Lord to be your refuge then you need to turn to the Lord. The answer to that sleepless night just may be prayer and the Word of God before you go to bed instead of the TV and the talk shows. Direction for you life may just come from the Bible and not Dr. Phil. Why not make the Lord your refuge, why not rest in his everlasting arms? When we do that we find the enemies of life thrust out as they are replaced by the peace of God and the joy of the Lord.
