Who is it that hinders the gospel of Christ? We know that Satan does, but who else and how is the gospel of Christ hindered? The gospel is the greatest and most powerful message ever given to the world. It can turn a sinner from hell and take him to heaven, it has humbled kings as well as peasants. It has shook the foundations of the world and the powers of darkness tremble when the gospel is preached. The little child can understand it, the old and the wise receive it. What can, or who can hinder the gospel of Christ? There are several ways the gospel can be hindered, the first being when the gospel message is rejected. What a wonderful message, that man, all men, can be forgiven of sin and have a place in heaven by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Saving grace has been made available to all by the mercy of God and blood of Jesus. What a wonderful message that whosoever will may come. That message is hinder when people reject it. I can’t understand why everyone would not want to be saved after they have heard the truth of the gospel and understand what lies ahead, heaven or hell, and that Jesus has made a way for them to be saved. Yet the majority of people reject the gospel and that hinders the message. Another way the gospel is hindered is if we will not share it with others. As a Christian we are to tell others about Christ. Even if we followed the “Each one tell one” we would be seeing the gospel saving people. But most will not share the good news for some reason or another. How many people have you talked to about Christ over the past week, month, or year? The gospel is hindered when we will not share it with others. More tomorrow.
