December 17th, 2013 by Pastor Solley1 Thess 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
As we saw yesterday our God is faithful in hearing our prayers. As great a blessing as that truth is, as great a comfort that it, greater still is the truth that our God is faithful in answering our prayers. (Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. ; 1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. ; John 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.)
God not only hears but God is faithful in answering our prayers. That answer is not always the one we want, but it is always in the perfect will of God which is where we should want to be. God answers prayer in ways we know not, God answers prayer in ways that glorify Jesus Christ, God answers prayer in ways that are best for us, but our God always answers prayer. What a blessing, what a comfort, what strength and confidence we gain when we walk in the truth that God answers prayer. We then ought to pray.
