1 Thess 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

We were looking at this verse and the faithfulness of God last week if you recall. We looked at the faithfulness of God in salvation and in His presence in the born again believer in Christ. This morning consider His faithfulness in listening to our prayers. The Bible commands us to pray. (1 Thess 5:17 Pray without ceasing.) Jesus commands us to pray. (Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;) When we do pray we can be assured that our God is listening, waiting for us to pray, waiting to hear from us. (Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.) We will never find our God too busy to listen, too tired to listen, not interested in hearing from us, we will never find our God turning a deaf ear to our prayers. There are times when we feel as if no one understands, no one listens to us, no one cares, but in reality there is no such time for a Christian, no such time in the life of a Christian. Our God is faithful in listening to our prayers. I often wonder why God’s people are so unfaithful in prayer, why we don’t pray as we should, why we waste the faithfulness of God in listening to our prayers.
