Matt 14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

What do people do when they are alone? That is the test of a person, the test of their character, the test of their faith, what they do when they are alone. Many will watch things on the TV they ought not watch, go to web sites on the PC they ought not visit, perhaps even go to places they know they have no business being at, thinking all the time that they are alone. What do people do when they are alone? Here we find Jesus being along, this is not the first time or the last we find Him alone in the Bible. But in all those times when Jesus is alone we find this common thread, He was alone with the Father in prayer. On the mountain top or in the garden, when Jesus was alone He was in prayer. We find this same thing with Daniel on the Old Testament. (Dan 10:7-8 And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. 8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.) When great men and women of God are left alone they spend that time alone with God. How will you spend your alone time today? Will it be spent doing things that will strengthen you spiritually, or will you try to hide what you are doing when you are alone?
