2 Cor 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We live in a day when imaginations and things or people who think they are high exalt themselves against the knowledge of, the things of God. Paul saw those things, those ones in his day but certainly not to the extent we are seeing them today. I am reminded of this as the Christmas season approaches. Soon I will hear people saying “Happy holidays”, will hear of the ACLU filing motions to have nativity scenes removed and the like, no mention of Jesus in school programs. Man today has elevated himself to the point that he thinks he can remove even the knowledge of God from society, that is the aim of the politically correct. If this world goes on much longer we will see Christ being removed from Easter just as He has been removed from Christmas. As Christians we must realize the spiritual battle we are in, we are not warring after the flesh, but are opposed by strong spiritual beings with Satan leading them. Yet we know that our God is greater than the god of this world, that He is able to cast down Satan, to cast down strongholds. What is my point this morning? It is time, high time for Christians to take a stand, the church as been silent too long, it is time to get into the fight. Begin with prayer followed by more prayer and let that be followed by action. There is no better time of year than Christmas to take a stand and tell others about Jesus Christ, tell others about why we have a Christmas and what Jesus can do for them.
