John 19:30 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Heb 7:24-25 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
What do these verse have to do with one another may be a question one asks as they read them. Last week the Lord began to speak to my heart about just how much He loves and cares for us and how interested He is in our lives day by day. Consider this, when God crested the heaven and the earth, all that is in them, the stars, moon, sky, the mountains, rivers, the seas and all that is in them, all the animals and man, it took Him six days and creation was done. From that time to this there has been nothing new, creation was done. In His work of redemption Jesus announced that it was finished from the cross. (John 19:30) There was no more work to do, it was complete, finished and nothing would ever or ever could be added. But when it comes to the born again believer in Christ His work is never finished. Notice what the Bible says in Heb 7:25 “He ever liveth to make intercession for them”. From the moment one is saved Jesus is there working in them, working through them, protecting them, providing for them, leading them, ever there, always there, always in our lives, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, Jesus Christ is there for us. He spent six days creating this earth, even redemption had an end, but He ever liveth for you and me if we know Him as our personal savior. How much must we as believers in Christ mean to Him?
