1 Tim 3:15-16 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

A lot of people have a lot to say against the church today, but have you ever notice how much the Bible has to say for the church? Jesus Christ established the church in this world, loves it, gave Himself for it, lives for it and promised the even the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Yes, the Bible has a lot to say for the church. Why then do so many have so much to say against it? For the most part they are being used of Satan to slander what is near to the heart of God. This I have observed over the years, that most of the people who speak the most against the church are not involved in the church at all. They sit at home and pick apart the church while ignoring the command of God to be in church. They sit at home and pick apart the church while doing nothing at all for the Lord. They sit at home and pick apart the preacher and the Bible. They claim to be ultra spiritual seeking the deep things of God while ignoring their responsibilities to the Lord. Yes there may be much lacking in the church today, but have you ever stopped to wonder why? Most of the problems in the church come from Satan using people against it.
