October 2nd, 2013 by Pastor SolleyJohn 3:14-16 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Because of the government shutdown I have been hearing a lot about non essential government workers. A person interviewed on our local news stated that they did not like being called non essential. Did you know that no one is non essential in the eyes of God? From the poorest top the richest, the best to the worst, the young to the old, men and women, no one is non essential to God. The Bible tells us that God loves and Jesus died for all the world, for whosoever, that the worst sinner, the poorest, to oldest, the youngest who can understand the gospel, can be saved. What a blessed thought, a blessed truth, that God cares for you and me today. God cares to the point that the very hairs of our head are numbered, Jesus cares to the point that He lives for you and me today. What a blessed truth, a joyous thought, that we are essential to the mind and the heart of God.
