July 5th, 2013 by Pastor Solley1 Cor 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
I will have people ask from time to time “How do you know what you believe is true?” The gospel my friend is all according to the Scriptures. That does require the faith to accept the Bible as the Word of God, the Bible as God’s truth. But if one stops and looks at the Bible, ever from the perspective of a lost person, they are left with no other conclusion than that the Bible is God’s Word. Sixty Six different books, written over thousands of years, different men used to pen the words as inspired by the Holy Spirit, the book agrees from start to finish. In the Bible we find the beginning of all things, God, and we find the end of all things, Jesus Christ. In the Bible we find prophecy fulfilled, science revealed ad much more. Even a lost person reading the Bible knows they are reading God’s Word. Then we find that path that leads to heaven through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, in the Bible we find the gospel message. I know what I have believed is true, that I have not believed in vain, because what I believe comes from the Bible. Can you say the same today?
