2 Cor 7:1-6 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. 3 I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. 4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. 5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. 6 Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

One of the worst things one can experience are those times of doubt and fear. Those times when we feel all alone, that there is none to help, and even the God of our salvation seems so far away. Take heart dear one when you go through such times for you are not alone, event he Apostle Paul experienced such times in his life. His personal testimony is that when the Spirit of God sent him into Macedonia that he has no rest, there was trouble all around him, and within were fears. (Verse 5) Within the heat of the great man of God were fears and doubts. We all experience such times in our lives, but what then to do? Notice verse 6 above. At those times in our lives, times when we seem overtaken by doubts and fears, at those times more than any others we need to wait upon and look to our Savior. He is in truth a God of comfort, a God that lifts up those who are cast down. There have been and will be more times when we feel cast down, but praise God we are not left alone at those times, not left alone in our hour of need.
