January 1st, 2013 by Pastor SolleyEx 12:1-2 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
Israel had a new beginning when they left Egypt, a beginning of months, a new year. We begin a New Year today, 2013. None of us know what this New Year will hold and yet all of us know who is able to lead us through it. The same one who took Israel from Egypt to the Promised Land is able to lead us through this New Year. If you look at those people at that time you find that the only times they struggled in that journey was when they refused the leadership pf Almighty God. So stiff was their neck against God that it took them 40 years to get where God wanted them to be. We need to learn from Israel and trust in the Lord as we enter this New Year. Trust His guidance, trust His Word, trust Him. I don’t know if you make New Years resolutions, but you could not make a better one than that.
