December 13th, 2012 by Pastor Solley2 Cor 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
His gift is unspeakable because He gave His Son, because His son came to save sinners, because His Son will save all, and unspeakable because His Son will keep all who call upon Him for salvation for all eternity. Jude 24-25 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
What a blessed and wonderful truth that not only can a lost sinner be saved by Jesus Christ, but that one is then kept by Jesus Christ. Praise God for His unspeakable gift! As a Christian one need not worry day by day about his or her position in Jesus Christ, in the family of God. As sure as Jesus saves, Jesus keeps. John 10:27-30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
It is no more possible for the Christian to be separated from Jesus than it is for Jesus to be separated from the Father. (Notice verse 29) Try and separate the eternal Father from the eternal Son of God and you find it impossible. It is just as impossible then to separate the blood washed sinner from the savior. 2 Cor 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
