Jude 21-23 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

The Bible tells us that Jesus came to “Save His people from their sins”. Above is the last mention of the word save in the Bible. Although Jesus came to save all those in need, and all can be saved, not all will be saved. Salvation is offered, but not forced on any individual. As Christians we need to have compassion for the lost, we need to have a burden for the lost, we need to witness to the lost, but we can never save the lost. Only Jesus can save and then only save those willing to humble themselves before Him, those willing to turn from sin, those willing to call out to Him. I was able to share the gospel message with a man yesterday and as he acknowledge the truth of the Word of God and his need for salvation he still remained in his sin. Perhaps by this morning he is saved because he did not and does not need me to be saved, but yesterday he rejected the gospel message. How heart breaking it is to see those in need reject God’s free gift of salvation. The older I get the more I hate the garment spotted by the flesh.
