November 22nd, 2012 by Pastor SolleyPs 95:1-3 O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. 3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
What to be thankful for today? Thank you Father for the rock of salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Verse 1) Thank you Father that He paid the price for all and that all can come to that rock of salvation. Thank you Father for the joy of Christ and the joy of the Christian life. (Verse 2) Not all that enters into our lives is joyful but nothing can take away from the joy of the Lord. Thank you Father that you are the “Great God, and a great King above all gods. (Verse 3) I have much to give thanks for today. I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for His free gift of salvation. I thank the Lord for a true Christian wife and two children and a son-in-law who are saved. I thank the Lord for a grandson that I have been given to love and pray for. I thank the Lord for allowing a sinner like me to preach the gospel all these many years. I thank the Lord that His Word never changes. I thank the Lord for many who have gone on to glory and the influence that they were on my life. I thank the Lord for the trials of life and how they teach us to depend upon Christ. Thank you Lord for the way that you are taking care of those closest to me. Thank you Lord for the open doors of a church this morning where we will meet on this Thanksgiving Day. I thank you Lord for a true church family and how you have strengthened us and added to us. Thank you Father on this most special day.
