I spent a big part of last evening sitting in a hospital room with a lady that I know is saved. She is near the end of her life and was all alone in that room. I just felt that it was not good that she was by herself and so I stayed with her. As I prayed and read the Bible it became so real to me that she was not alone at all. The peace and presence of God could be felt, and yes even the presence of the angels. So many people fill their lives with the riches of this world as the man did on our text passage today. Some fare very well as far as the world is concerned. But standing in the presence of the peace of God last evening reminded me anew and afresh of how our God rewards faith in Jesus Christ. That one was not alone before I arrived, and was not alone after I departed for God never leaves His children alone. There are things much more valuable than the riches of this world.
