Daily Devotions

Rom 1:14-16 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. 15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

So glad today for power. No devotional yesterday because we lost power in our home late Monday night due to the storm. It was a night spent in the dark followed by a day spent in the cold, cold house, cold water. Other than that it was a normal day with hospital visits, checking on some others in the church and so on, but it was a day without power. When power was restored Tuesday evening both my wife and I thanked the Lord, our house could be warm again, we could have hot water again, we could stay in our home in comfort again, thank you Lord for power. Isn’t it wonderful that we never have to worry about the power of God running out, the power of the gospel running out! The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God until salvation, limitless, and free to all! None have to stand in the cold, Jesus died for all, none have to remain in the darkness of sin, Jesus will save all who come to Him. Rom 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” All we needed to do Tuesday night was turn on the power, all the lost need to do is come to Jesus Christ. So thankful for power.
