Prov 4:23-26 Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life. 24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, And perverse lips put far from thee. 25 Let thine eyes look right on, And let thine eyelids look straight before thee. 26 Ponder the path of thy feet, And let all thy ways be established.

How often do you ponder the path of your feet? People far too often act before they think and then suffer because of it. Have you ever done something, said something and immediately were sorry? But then we find the horse is out of the barn as the old timers used to say. Proverbs has some wise sayings on this very subject. Think before you speak, (Verse 24), look straight ahead, (Verse 25), and think about the path you are about to walk. I wonder how much trouble we would avoid in our lives if we would follow this day by day? Friendships would not be lost, families not broken up, jails would not be so full. As a Christian this becomes more important because testimonies would not be lost. Let us ponder today the path of our feet.
