I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
What a timeless truth we have before us in John 14. Yesterday while visiting in the hospital I met a gentlemen who was saved. He is battling cancer and we shared this portion of Scripture. What a blessing to see one who placed his trust in Jesus Christ and was standing in faith. A few doors down I met a lady who was fearful and troubled. After speaking with her she said that she did not know if she would go to heaven or hell when she left this world. Again I shared with her John 14 and in a short time she prayed and asked Jesus to forgive her of her sin and to save her. What a blessing to see the Spirit of God use the Word of God to bring one to the Son of God. What a timeless truth that NO man can come to the Father but by Jesus Christ and what a timeless truth that ALL men can come to the Father by Him.
