Ecc 12:12-14 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

What we find in verse 12 of our text is certainly true today, that “Of making many books there is no end”. There are books on every subject you can think of today and they stock the Christian book stores. How to be a better parent, how to help your marriage, how to get rid of stress, how to help your marriage, how to be a Godly example, there are books on everything. Have you notices what book they are squeezing off of the book shelves? The Bible! The Word of God deals with every area of life, home, family, marriage, work, stress, worry, every area of life. Yet the Bible is the book that people pass over on their way through life. It is time we get back to the Bible, back to the Word of God and let it be our standard of living, our guide through the troubles and trials of life. We must remember that it is God who “Shall being every work into judgment”. Who better to follow, what better book to follow than the Bible?
